Job Summary

The Sr. Security Consultant - Network will serve as a subject matter expert in supporting and delivering security solutions in an on-prem and hybrid cloud environment. The Sr. Security Consultant – Network will helps clients gain insight and context into their complex computer environments and identify, assess, and build infrastructure, processes and policies in order to meet the client’s needs. Sr. Security Consultant - Network will also serve as a mentor to other consultants within the practice discipline.

 

This role will report to the Director of Network Security Architecture within the Stratascale department.

 

This position is a remote position that reports to a Stratascale customer as determined by Stratascale management.

Responsibilities

Includes, but not limited to:

  • Provide expertise and solution delivery for client initiatives
  • Proactively identify customer needs and requirements through architectural discussions, data, customer engagement and other methods to recommend appropriate solutions and services opportunities
  • Support competitive selling motions within the project scope development
  • Engage with internal sales and technical teams to support solution sales cycle, qualify opportunities, close open pipeline, scope and ensure successful solution delivery
  • Execute consulting projects, driving objectives, creating deliverables and ensuring client needs and practice obligations are met and successfully provided customer satisfaction
  • Provide subject matter expertise on network and cloud security solutions and specific capabilities to help customers design and implement their security goals
  • Stay educated on new product technology, tangential team capabilities, and other specific offerings or programs emerging within our company and within the security industry
  • Deliver trainings or create training content to internal teams on practice discipline capability, associated offerings, industry positioning and selling strategies
  • Identify areas for continued advancement of strategies aligned with Industry direction, client need and practice scope and present solutions to leadership
  • Consistently deliver quality client services. Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget
  • Consistently obtain status updates with customers to ensure alignment with project scope scheduling, and documentation
  • Initiate project scope and lead the scope development and project delivery of all assignments
  • Serve as a mentor to other consultants within the practice discipline

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7+ years client-facing experience working on designing and implementing complex security solutions in on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
  • Experience delivering complex solutions and executing projects on time and successfully
  • Experience providing consultative guidance on solutions with ability to scope and develop level of effort
  • Experience deploying platforms for an enterprise, and knowledge on key factors to consider when planning the deployment
  • Solid level of security industry knowledge, with proven firewall security knowledge
  • Strong fundamental understanding of technical security solutions and how they address customer risk exposure and solve key use cases
  • Proven understanding of security services engagements
  • Proven experience designing solutions and building roadmaps in support of OEM and cloud native security control offerings
  • Experience supporting various compliance regulations such as but not limited to PCI, FISMA, HIPAA, and GDPR in large enterprise environments
  • Strong understanding of NIST/CIS based standards and frameworks as applied to network architecture

  • Ability to write, communicate, and present cybersecurity subject matters to audiences of multiple levels
  • Excellent presentation skills and comfortable “owning the room” in meetings and discussions
  • Ability and Initiative to research and resolve problems with a positive attitude
  • Strong infrastructure skills within firewall, cloud, and networking technologies such as but not limited to: IDS, content filtering, sand boxing, EDR, SIEM, SOAR, XDR, and Zero Trust, and their supporting solutions
  • Ability to mentor and guide other consultants within the team

Unique Requirements

  • Travel to partner sites, customer sites, conferences and Stratascale offices up to 25% annually

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $165,000 - $240,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
